In our modern society an all too common source of panic and anxiety stems from a seemingly unbalanced exchange system. If we were to collectively rearrange the way our currency is distributed, would it look the way it does today?
Currently our money system simply does not do what it was made for; instead, it represents how much leverage an individual, company, or corporation has over someone else.
Money should be a measurement of exchange for our time, intellect, passions, and skills, but in reality it too often acts as a siphon to the happiness and sustainability of the people it dictates.
Ray kick-starts the call by framing the discussion around, “what makes you happy?” Go ahead and take a second, really think. What makes you happy?
Maybe an answer that popped up is, “I’d be happy if I had a million dollars.” We’d like to challenge that thought. We would argue that it isn’t the physical money that provokes feelings of happiness, but rather the possibilities of what we can receive in exchange.
“A million dollars of what?”
If we can bridge the gap between chasing after money to then get what we want, we can take steps directly toward what makes us happy. In this reality money would act as a measurement of exchange, opposed to being the demanding middleman it is today.
Have you ever had that feeling of magic that accompanies being completely broke.. and out of nowhere the Universe provides whatever was needed? So then, what is the “trick” behind making this money appear?
The power of the Universe lies within movement. Move with the Universe. Assure we are listening to where the Universe/God/our intuition wants to guide us, and flow. If we are open and receiving, we are provided for.
As creatures that are comfortable in habit, we tend to cling to what we think we need in exchange for a feeling of peace and security. Maxwell makes such a beautifully crucial point regarding ‘flow’.
When we allow things to come and go, just as the way a running stream does, we allow ourselves to become unattached to the things no longer benefiting us in order to make space for the new!
We can do ourselves a favor by casting our focus toward the solutions to what will make us happy, instead of sulking in the notion that it didn’t turn out the way we planned.
Let’s keep working together! We know struggles with money can be tough, and we are always here for support.
