We talked about a lot this week, everything from Hugs and Drugs, to creating community and building friendships. We learned so much about good hugs and how to connect with others in a meaningful way and with a good intent. Â
A question was asked about connecting with others and how we find people in our communities that share our interests. Â The challenge was brought up by Marie to speak more about your ideas and see what sparks conversations with others. Â Another good tip was to ask people questions about their ideas before you share your perspectives in order to get a feel for what they believe.
One of my favorite parts of this video is when we talked about the intent of listening and making sure that we genuinely listen to others and care about them and what they are saying. Â Don’t listen with the intent to reply listen with the intent to hear.
Also going physically to places that attract like-interest crowds such as a crystal shop or Yoga class is another great way to make friends and connect with others.
Jordan brought up the female and male perspectives of connecting. Â He talks about how the female energy is about following what feels right whereas the male energy likes steps and specific instructions for how to connect.
We hope you enjoyed this call and we hope to see you in the members area soon as well as on future calls!
With a BIG hug!
